I have worked in senior HR Management for more than 25 years. There isn't much I haven't seen or dealt with when it comes to managing people so I am not easily fazed!

I bring experience, integrity, empathy, pragmatism and a healthy sense of humour to my HR work. I am also fully CIPD Level 7 qualified and ensure that I keep up to date with current legislation so that my clients don't have to.

 

Much of my career has been in a corporate setting, but I have been running my own consultancy since 2021 and now work with a fabulous mix of small businesses and charities.

 

Smaller businesses, in my experience, have the same desire to look after their employees as the large corporates do. Often though, they lack the resources, time or financial freedom that big businesses enjoy, so it is really important that the HR Consultant they partner with is sensitive to the challenges they face. If I work with you, I will get to know you, get to know your team and I will want to understand your dreams, challenges and goals for your business.

 

I work with businesses with just one employee and I work with businesses with over 100 employees. Whatever the size of business, I am here to help.

 

I believe in keeping it simple, being fair and respecting individuals. If the workplace culture is right, if the basics are all in place, and if people are clear about what is expected of them at work, they can bring their authentic selves to what they do. In my experience, allowing for authenticity and genuine engagement at work results in happier, motivated and more productive employees.
